SE, 4GL and bad display when using 'rlogin'
Posted in 1996
Hi I've got SE and 4GL (the latest of each I think) running on a Sun ULTRASparc. I have a bunch of applications and databases on it that have recently been migrated to it from my old computer (a Tandem). All of them compiled fine and run well. My users work mainly on the Tandem computer and I have set up a menu that invokes an rlogin from the Tandem to the SUN and runs the 4gl programs. The problem is that the terminal display is messed up - moving around in the menu bar causes the words to get jumbled, the alignment of the form on the page is off, etc... The applications all work fine if I log in directly to the machine, just not if I rlogin. Any ideas? How do I fix the display? I set it up so that it uses the informix termcap at bpth ends and that the display is set for vt100 at both ends. (I've goofed around with these settings to no avail) Thanks, MArc marc@pamco.com
