Re: Top Databases Used

By the way I am managing Oracle, Informix, & Ingres databases. Every database has one or more features that other databases do not have. Since you asked for one feature that Informix has and Oracle does not have, here it is. Informix fragmentation of data on the basis of round-robin or expression between multiple disks is by far the best feature. Sorry, mate, the feature wars ended in about 1992. So name me a feature Oracle has that Informix hasn't. >Just one other thing - you lose credibility to any objective observer >when you use the phrase :- > ><QUOTE> > >Servers that stay online without a cron script to restart them hourly. ></QUOTE> And all the other observations? >In fact, that king of phrase actually says a lot about this whole thread >and newsgroup. Still, I don't really give a toss. I have been driving 7's for years now. So you still have a way to go. :-p ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
