Re: DATABASE GATEWAYS

What do you want to do with the gateway? Praxis International (web site: http://www.praxisint.com ) provides products for data change replication (OmniReplicator) or for sending automated, snapshot copies among all of the database products you mentioned (Informix, Oracle, Sybase, DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server). All of those DBMSs can act as sources for replication or snapshot copies, or participate in update-anywhere cross-DBMS/platform replication. The Praxis products can also move data from any of those DBMS sources to other DBMS (e.g. Ingres, Rdb) targets. OmniReplicator and OmniCopy use middleware (it comes bundled with a license for INTERSOLV's SequeLink) to transport data, and does not need to depend on ODBC.
