BLOB's and JDBC

Hi guys, i have a problem when retrieving Blob's via JDBC: Server: IDS2000 9.21 UC3 / Linux JDBC: IBM Informix JDBC Driver for IBM Informix Dynamic Server 2.21 Setting the environment-Parameter lobcache to 0 means, that blob-data are always stored in a file on the client-machine, when retrieving blob-data from the Server. This seems to work absolute perfect. But these files are NEVER removed. Has anyone an idea, how to remove these files after retrieving them from the Server, without writing a cron-Job etc. etc. Thanks in advance. Bye Markus
I've seen this before. I think the answer is that there is no way. Not much help, but maybe you won't have to spend so much time looking for an answer that doesn't exist. There is a bug: 162356 JDBC DRIVER DOES NOT DELETE TEMPORARY FILES IT CREATES WHEN READING BLOB DATA FROM IDS My advice would be to call Informix Support and beat on them until they up the priority of this one. It's just goofy; a class can legitimately allocate system resources as necessary, but it needs to free them when it's done. The destructor of the lob object class should remove the file if one exists.
