I am late answering because I brought bronchitis back from the
conference.
"Neil Truby" <neil.truby@ardenta.com> described his personal
impressions of the conference in message

I disliked the fact that the Informix sessions were stuck in the small
conference rooms in the back corner. It was especially obvious at
some of Mark Scranton's sessions, where people showed up 30 minutes in
advance and 20 people were standing outside trying to listen.
I also disliked the fact that there were time slots with no Informix
topics and others with four technical sessions at the same time.

Madison and Neil have covered this well, though I enjoyed being able
to hear 9.4 success stories from customers. Having viewed the 9.3
release and the difference between the promises and the reality, I was
a little leery of 9.4.

Right, but Alan Grady at least talked to me afterwards, so I feel
special.
