Stefan, After reading David's posting and the Admin. Guide page on 38-18, I would agree with David that t1 should have been created in tempdbs1 rather than the standard dbspace 'dbs1' unless as David said, there is not enough space in 'dbs1'. The other reason that may have caused t1 to not go to tempdbs1 is that on 38-19 of the Admin. guide, it says that for a change to DBSPACETEMP to take effect, you have to 1)add the name of the new temporary dbspace to your DBSPACETEMP env. or config. list and 2) reinitialize the online. Stefan, I think that you were not sure as to whether the online had been restarted or not after you added tempdbs1, so, this could be the other reason your non-logging temp table t1 did not go the temporary dbsapce tempdbs1. -- Melvin Mariney, Informix DBA e-mail: melvin.mariney2@bridge.bellsouth.com
