No. With ACE you can use SACEISOL, With Perform you can use SPERISOL
(check release notes for spelling; it might be SPERFISOL). But there isn't
a way that I know of to do that reliably for ISQL in general.
You can try using:
cat > setisol.sql <<!
set isolation to committed read;!
isql database -qc setisol -qr -q
This says:
select database
use query/choose and select file setisol
use query/run to execute the file
give the user the query menu
Note that forms and reports etc are not available.
This worked for me on Solaris 2.4 with ISQL 6.04.UC1 (and should work with
all 6.0x versions, and 4.1x versions with x >= 2), but this sort of command
line usage isn't clearly documented and doesn't always work; there are
(were) definitely bugs in the code so don't be hugely surprised if some of
your variants on this scheme don't work -- I was pleasantly surprised to
find that this did!
