This may be a wrong place to post but I am curious how the iiug's mailing list got forwarded to this news group (1 way) I am thinking of setting a similar system so that email or news post will be forwarding to each other (2 ways forwarding) Thanks, Thanh Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Scripts there, some in Perl and some in Bourne Shell, provide a link between the list and comp.databases.informix. NNTP sending and receiving service is provided by a third-party system at xmission.com. The mailing list uses the open source perl-based package, Majordomo, for list management (see http://www.greatcircle.com/majordomo/). The gateway between informix-list and c.d.i is two-way. Messages posted to informix-list are sent via NNTP to c.d.i. Periodically, a script on iiug.org polls the NNTP host for new articles. All new articles are sent out to the list. This set up has its good and bad points, but works fairly well for what we want it to do. There might be other packages that would work better for what you want to do or at least require less customization.
