NVARCHAR

Hi, All! I have ODS is runnng on Windows NT Serever. I have "DB_LOCALE=lv_lv.1257" option in Setnet32. I have simple statement: SELECT * FROM person WHERE name LIKE 'KRONBERG_'. Table person has aprox 150000 rows. There is index on name also. 1st. OPTCOMIND 2 If name VARCHAR(34), than I can get good result (<1sec) only if I have distributions. If I haven't distributions ODS gives result in 3sec. Situation isn't very bad, but I must use NVARCHAR(34) for column name. If name NVARCHAR(34), than ODS gives result in 3sec always (using SEQUENTIAL SCAN of course). And distributions can't help. 2nd. OPTCOMIND 0 If name VARCHAR(34), than I get good result (<1sec) always, not depends on distributions. If name NVARCHAR(34), than situation is as bad as possible. Using "SQL Editor" I can see enabled button "Stop execution" after 5sec and during 5sec. This means that I can see all result raws after 10sec only. But in explain file I see INDEX PATH.
