Hi Deletes just zeros the data, it will leave the space taken up by the table as is. Assumes that you're gonna be inserting stuff - so why bother freeing space when you'll need to reclaim it anyway. To free your space you need to: If you're deleting all the rows in the table then drop/re-create the table. It's also much quicker.
