If the PSORT_DBTEMP environment variable is set this list of cooked
directories is used, if not and the DBTEMP variable is set then this
list is used, otherwise the rootdb space is used.
BTW: It is MUCH faster to drop a damaged index and rebuild it manually
using parallel sorting during the index build which tbcheck WILL NOT
USE! I never answer yes to oncheck -c[iI] for this reason. To enable
parallel sorting set the following environment
variables:
PSORT_DBTEMP=<list of directories on different filesystems, the more
the better (FYI the smallest of these will limit sorts
so the free space on each should be about the same)>
PSORT_NPROCS=10 (Maximum value for 5.0x higher settings are same as 10
this is the number of sqlturbo's to use for sorting)
PSORT_MAXALLOC=10240 (Sets the sort memory used by each sqlturbo used)
export PSORT_DBTEMP PSORT_NPROCS PSORT_MAXALLOC
