RE: dbexport /dbimport regarding partitioned tables
Posted in 2000
dbimport and dbexport will work regardless if your
table is partitioned across dbspaces.
However is you run dbexport without the -ss option
the resulting "create table" statement for the
partitioned (fragmented) table will not reflect
the partitioning strategy you used. So when you
execute dbimport it will create the table in one
dbspace, usually in the dbspace where the database
was created.
So you might want to use the -ss option when you
execute dbexport to retain any partitioning strategy
you used.

Subject: dbexport /dbimport regarding partitioned tables
Hi everyone
I have no idea of dbimport/dbexport for partitioned tables or indexes which
is on different dbspace as table?
Has someone got some idea?
Thanks in advance.
