I live in a city where there are potholes and other debris that will cause some cosmetic damage to the car and that's a lot of bucks. I live in a place where there are speed limits and enough trafic that make driving boring. I live in a place where during rush hour, you move at an average of 5 miles an hour and you run the risk of an uninsured/underinsured moron will cause a fender bender. Of course you live in a land where gas is expensive. ;-) But I think the point is that you shouldn't just view Informix as an exotic database, but a work horse, a solid one at that.
