foreign key error message?
Posted in 1995
Anyone know how to control/modify (using FORMBUILD) the error message and cursor response to a violated foreign key? I have a FORM with three pairs of fields that are monitored with foreign keys and when any of the three pairs of data is mismatched, I get an error message that doesn't make sense to most users AND the cursor gets dropped at the top of the FORM, unrelated to the fields causing the error. (yes, I know, I should use 4GL, but that isn't possible yet!) Any help/advice would be appreciated.
