Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
edaebm, new to Informix on NT, asked whether IDS 9.2 has a GUI like the 7.x IECC console. Art Kagel said no GUI, only a free web-based tool. Arkady Ginzburg suggested Server Studio for Informix. Ben Wilde said the web-based Informix Server Administrator ships with IDS.2000 and version 1.1 could be downloaded.

I am a beginner in dealing with Informix and I only work with Informix
on NT. I don't see any GUI tool in 9.2 like the 'database explorer' in
7.23 or the 'IECC console' in 7.3. Do I need to order a DBA pack or is
there no similar GUI tool for IDS2000. Thanks!

Hi,
You can try Server Studio for Informix. It was specifically designed as a
front-end to all Informix servers and has a collection of GUI tools for
server-side developers and DBAs.
Specifically, it features DB Object Explorer, color-coded SQL Editor,
interactive debugger for stored procedures and triggers, Table Structure
Editor, Data Editor and number of others functions.
You can download an eval from www.agsltd.com
It requires only standard Informix client installed on your workstation
(ESQL/C) to run.

Hi
For Sys Admin you need to install the Informix Server Administrator - a web
browser based management application, it comes with IDS.2000. You can also
download it from
http://www.intraware.com:81/app/shop?page=product&plne=001852 which is a
good idea anyway since there is a new vesion (1.1) available.
