Before you do some real damage... The short version is, I guess you upgraded from either SE or OnLine 5: Did you perhaps notice that you have no sqlexec or sqlturbo processes? The oninits are doing all the work of your sqlexec or sqlturbo processes, which is why they accumulate so much time. And you'll only try to kill it off once. I just hope you have a good set of backups. The reason it has a -s flag is that your server was probably brought up in quiescent more first, and moved to online via onmode or onmonitor. The command line flag would still be shown by ps. The oninits correspond with the VP classes shown in the onstat commands. If your server is slowing down because it's been up for so long, you can just shut it down and restart it. Or look into the NOAGE parameter.
