From what I know, there's only a few differences between the two products. Primarily, the parallel query option is missing in OWS, as is the so-called 'enterprise' data replication. Seeing as how you've only the one machine (no need for data replication of any sort) and it's only a single CPU jobbie (no multi-threaded querys possible), you'd save yourself a buck by using OWS. As an aside, and depending on precisely what your application is intended for, and the volume of data travelling through it, have you considered SE. Its a low maintenance, low cost engine that gives a good account of itself in the bottom end of the DB market. Might even save you two bucks :) Bryan Tonnet batonnet@zeta.org.au
