In 5.x, the recovery is single threaded. That means that if the work was the work of 5 threads that were working a solid hour each, then the recovery would take roughly 5 hours. 3.75 log files may not be very long, but it could be quite long. How large is each log file? Were indexes being built during the span of the logs? All of these are factors in determining the amount of time of the recovery. If indexes were being built, that would be a rather small log entry, but would take quite a bit of time to actually complete. Madison Pruet
