Hi all Informix users, Does anybody knows what this SQL code error mean ? -439 : Database server is currently processing SQL task. I have an internet server and sometimes it can't be reached or is too long to respond and returns this code. by using finderr -439, it returns that(s follow -439 Database server is currently processing an SQL task. You attempted to call an SQL routine or attempted to execute an SQL statement within a signal handling function/routine or a callback function/procedure. Use only the sqldone() and sqlbreak() library functions inside your INFORMIX-ESQL/C callback function. Use only the ECO-SQD and ECO-SQB library routines inside your ESQL/COBOL callback procedure. In addition, if you want to unregister your callback function in INFORMIX-ESQL/C, you can invoke the sqlbreakcallback() callback registration function within your callback procedure. If you want to unregister your callback procedure in ESQL/COBOL, you can invoke the ECO-SQBCB callback registration routine within your callback procedure.
Sounds like a coding issue, what web server, Informix version, OS, and application software are you using kermitt wrote: > > Hi all Informix users, > > Does anybody knows what this SQL code error mean ? > > -439 : Database server is currently processing SQL task. > > I have an internet server and sometimes it can't be reached or is too > long to respond and returns this code. > > by using finderr -439, it returns that(s follow > > -439 Database server is currently processing an SQL task. > > You attempted to call an SQL routine or attempted to execute an SQL > statement within a signal handling function/routine or a callback > function/procedure. I would say that your web application is trying to send another query through the same connection while the server is processing the previous one. I've seen this error while trying to setup a signal handler in a 4GL application. The ideia was to execute a procedure in asynchronously mode. When the application received the signal it issued the execute procedure statement. If the application was in the middle of an SQL statement it would reuturn this error. In recent versions of CSDK this event can be dealed with in, but with some older version it aborted the currently executing query. You'll have to look at your application logic. Regards
