Madison, Johnathan, Serge, just to name a couple post here on a regular basis. They are all IBM employees. Note too that there are other IBM employees who post but are not as well known as these three. With respect to control, on the IBM site, IBM can monitor and control what is posted and if they feel that a post may be inappropriate, they can remove the post. This is not possible from c.d.i or from the iiug subscriptions. So if I wrote a post on the IBM site which accused IBMers of doing something totally braindead, how long do you think that post would stay up? That is the meaning of control. They control the servers, they control the content. At the same time, they can control the content coming from IBM employees themselves. >There are a few IBM people who monitor the iiug, and yes, some of them are >involved in the Cheetah release. > >However from a support standpoint there needs to be a centralized location >for receiving issues. > There is support, and there is control. Its one thing for Timmy to post here and vent. Or to ask questions here. I doubt that they are going to be "support" related. Then there are support related issues. Such as a formula used to determine resources required for stability, or stuff like that. Or if they've discovered a bug. But please do expect regulars here (old timers) to be naive. _________________________________________________________________ Refi Now: Rates near 39yr lows! $430,000 Mortgage for $1,399/mo - Calculate new payment http://www.lowermybills.com/lre/index.jsp?sourceid=lmb-9632-17727&moid=7581
