There is an easy way and a hard way to this. The hard way is to build a gcc kit that supports COFF format and figure out how to get it to do the right thing with the right includes and the right libraries. The easy way is to dump your old SCO system into /OS/sco-3.2v4 on your Linux box (you don't actually need all of it of course). Then create a script, say /usr/ibcs/cc, containing: #!/bin/sh exec /OS/sco-3.2v4/bin/rcc -Yp02S,/OS/sco-3.2v4/lib \\ -Ya,/OS/sco-3.2v4/bin -Yl,/OS/sco-3.2v4/lib/coff \\ -YI,/OS/sco-3.2v4/usr/include -YL,/OS/sco-3.2v4/lib \\ -YU,/OS/sco-3.2v4/usr/lib $* Then, when you want to compile in a SCO 3.2v4 environment just put /usr/ibcs at the *FRONT* of your PATH. You can extend the idea to use multiple hosted systems under /OS and have /usr/ibcs scripts check an environment variable to see which system they should use.
