FAQ and education - Help

Hi all, I'm looking for some assistance in finding the FAQ (if one exists) for this group. Furthermore, I was wondering if there was a particularly good class that would be of assistance for my transition to INFORMIX. Maybe, some history here would help. I've been a Sybase DBA for 3 years, INGRES Database Analyst for 2.5 years prior to that, and ORACLE SQL programmer for 3 years prior to that. I'm well versed on set theory, SQL, the relational model, ERDs... What I'm looking for are the key performance items in INFORMIX. For example in Sybase I would place my tempdb on a file system rather than a raw partition - caching greatly speeds things up. I do not know how INFORMIX indexes work, but I would bet that it's similar to Sybase's. Anyway, I guess what I'm asking here is where can I find the FAQ, what's a good INFORMIX book (probably in the FAQ!!), and a pointer to what might be "this makes INFORMIX a superior product to Sybase because...." I'm looking at creating a 80-100Gb DSS database, and I'm looking to get up to speed ASAP. Thanks for any help in advance. JB
