Re: MS ACCESS <-> DSA

Joe, The most common problem I have had is MSAccess does not like indexe names created by informix that begin with a space. This happens when you creat primary keys, foreign keys or constraints. Access needs a uniqe index with a name that begins with an alpha character to lock a row for updates and deletes. To get a database to work with Access this is what I do: - drop all constraints, primary keys .... - creat one unique index with a valid "Access" name on each table - re-create constraints .... They will use the exiting indexes.
