HP-UX 10.x recommendation? -Reply
Posted in 1997
We are on 7.20.UC3 on HP-UX 10.20, and aside from Informix having left out the onprobe/oncockpit tools (an oversight they are correcting), I am quite pleased with the combination. I used to have assert failures on a weekly (or more) basis, or problems with the ALARMPROGRAM on large alarm strings, or problems with ONARCHIVE. So far (he said, knocking on wood and crossing his fingers) I've experienced NO problems on this OS/Engine combination, nor have our developers (using Delphi in SQL passthrough mode). -- Sky +-------(southwel@smtpgw.maricopa.gov)-------+- Maricopa County -+ | Schuyler L. Recently I was told (by someone at Informix) that HP-UX 10.10 was fine, but I am somewhat leary and am wondering if anyone is running on HP-UX 10.10 with no problems. Adjunct - is anyone running OnLine 7.2x on HP-UX 10.20 with no problems? BTW, the hardware is HP K-420's. Thanks very much, --Joan -- Joan Armstrong joana@vcd.hp.com Hewlett Packard, Vancouver, WA.
