Hello, my friends.
IDS 11.50.FC8W3 and 11.70.FC2, both on linux_64 machines.
I had to apply a backup and restore filter, and notice that my
"onstat -g arc" times are not correctly updated.
As follows:
1) onstat -g arc output
Dbspaces - Archive Status
name number level date log log-position
rootdbs 1 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
phydbs 2 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
logdbs 3 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
fro_dbs 6 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
tra_dbs 7 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
nfe_dbs 8 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
sgf_dbs 9 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
exp_dbs 10 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
er_sbspace 11 0 07/28/2011.22:01 7079 0x21d06018
2) bar_act log shows (resumed):
2011-07-28 22:01:40 8735 8710 Archive started on rootdbs, nfe_dbs, fro_dbs,
tra_dbs, sgf_dbs, exp_dbs, er_sbspace, logdbs, phydbs (Requested Level 0).
2011-07-28 22:02:44 8735 8710 Begin level 0 backup rootdbs.
2011-07-28 22:06:31 8735 8710 Completed level 0 backup rootdbs (Storage
Manager copy ID: 1 1311904892).
2011-07-28 22:06:31 8735 8710 Begin level 0 backup nfe_dbs.
2011-07-28 23:03:39 8735 8710 Completed level 0 backup nfe_dbs (Storage
Manager copy ID: 1 1311905187).
2011-07-28 23:03:39 8735 8710 Begin level 0 backup fro_dbs.
...
...
2011-07-28 23:50:20 8735 8710 Archive on rootdbs, nfe_dbs, fro_dbs, tra_dbs,
sgf_dbs, exp_dbs, er_sbspace, logdbs, phydbs Completed (Requested Level 0).
------------------
As expected (at least) the -g arc times wouldn´t point to (23:50:20) ???
Regards.
No. Informix archives are point-in-time so the engine records the start
time or 'as of' time rather than the completion time.
