Re: Workaround for memory leak problem -- comments?

Another case of memory leak is in Informix's Wingz product. Using Wingz/Datalink we query the OnLine database repeatedly & to our dismay we found that the 'buffers' and 'engine' processes keep growing. These two processes are initiated when you establish a session with database from Wingz - so in order to get past the memory leak problem, once a day we close the session to database and reopen the session. Now that Wingz is NOT in any of Informix's future plans our 'patch' to cure memory leak is going to have a long life.
