Re: How to get a Boolean expression in Ace

Bill,
Well this is not exactly what you would wish for, but it's a solution I have
employed in several places where I need to separate reports into parts which
aren't obvious in sql:
database vth end
select species, large_small, 0 bool
from species
where large_small = "L"
union
select species, large_small, 1 bool
from species
where large_small = "S"
order by 3
end
format every row end
Doing two select statements with a union and a constant will work. If you are
worried about your data changing between the two select statements, do one
complete select statement to start and store it in a temp table, then do your
two other retrievals from your temp table.
I hope this is of some use.
