RE: Archive Utility
Posted in 2000
I'm not sure if there's an easy way to archive views and indexes only,
perhaps one of the schema utilities on the IIUG web site. But why not
save the entire database structure? It's a good idea to archive this on
a regular basis anyway (I do it every week). The following will work:
dbschema -d databasename -ss -t all -r all -f all -p all outputfile
This will save all of your tables, indexes, triggers, stored procedures,
permissions, views, etc. Depending on your schema and permission
structure, this file can be quite large, but well worth the extra bits
if someone in your dept. does 'reorganize' something.

Hello,
I am looking for utility or the way to archive all my
Views and Indexs definition to file. This will help me restore those
Views or Indexs when someone in our dept. reorganize tables from
Baan Application.
Thanks in adavance.
