This could be a little sketchy so you may have to blunder through some of
it but I've done this recently (if I can only remember how!)
You need INet/ODBC set up for the Informix database that you want to hold
your tables in. In MSAccess bring up your table, go into Design view and
then under the File menu choose Export (I think). This should bring up the
panel where you can choose SQL Databases which will bring up your ODBC
databases where you can specify the database you want. I think there may
be a couple of panels in between where you can change the table name. This
creates your table. You will probably want to telnet to the Informix
server and bring up dbaccess and change the definition of the columns
because MSAccess exports odd things (like all Char fields become
VarChar(50) or some such like). Changing column definitions through
dbaccess is a piece of cake though so don't fret too much about it.
When you have your table defined, ftp your delimited data to the server
and, through dbaccess query-? run the following sql:
load from yourfilenamehere insert into yourtablenamehere;
And that should be it.
Hope it works out,
Nigel
