Informix Connect SDK Help

I am looking for some help writing a C/C++ application that accesses an Informix DB. I have a customer requirement to use C/C++ to write a simple interface to an Informix DB not using ODBC -- the same way PowerBuilder does (I believe it calls functions directly from ISQLT07C.DLL). How can I do this? This PowerBuilder interface is refered to in my shop as "The Indformix Direct driver." We are not using MS Visual C++ so it seems I cannot use the C++ interface from the SDK. The SDK also has excellent documentation detailing how to use the ODBC interface but that doesn't fit either. Can someone help nug me in the right direction to find these API's? DO I need to enter into a special agreement with Informix? Am I looking for something that isn't there? Thanks in advance, Paul Dailey
You can download informix SDK from "http://www.intraware.com/informix". *** Posted from RemarQ - http://www.remarq.com - Discussions Start Here (tm) ***
Here's an Informix-direct DLL that uses the Informix native drivers.. just call the functions. http://home.sprintmail.com/~mdeverett/infdll.htm Mike Paul W Dailey <PaulieD@IBM.net> wrote in message news:36D02E4A.773E349C@IBM.net... >I am looking for some help writing a C/C++ application that accesses an >Informix DB. > >I have a customer requirement to use C/C++ to write a simple interface >to an Informix DB not using ODBC -- the same way PowerBuilder does (I >believe it calls functions directly from ISQLT07C.DLL). > >How can I do this? > >This PowerBuilder interface is refered to in my shop as "The Indformix >Direct driver."
