If your menu is larger than what can fit on a single screen so that the "..." appears on the right, and if the first option on the next screen is a "command key" option, then pressing the down arrow key will have disasterous consequences! We have found that the only solution is to avoid having the first option on the next page a command key. Sometimes, we simply re-arranged the order of the options. Other times, because of things like "hide option", this is unreliable, and we have resorted to changing the option names from: command key ("D") "aDd" to command "D:aDd" This is ugly, but seems the only workaround that will always work! Furthermore, in our application, when the 4GL hangs, the application process gradually sucks up more and more cpu time. We are running on a Sequent 750 with multiple processors, and a 4GL process that hangs this way can eventually consume nearly 100% of the processor it is attached to. Informix really needs to fix this one!
