HDR - Blocked C

Hi
I'm running Informix 10 TC3 on Windows Server 2003 in an HDR pair. I
recently rebooted the secondary server, but it has now stuck in fast
recovery mode. The following is the output from onstat -
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 10.00.TC3 -- Fast Recovery
(Sec) -- Up 1 days 00:29:07 -- 81792 KbytesBlocked:CKPT
Can anyone tell me how to resolve this?
Thanks
Stu.
Stu,
This sounds like a problem I had recently; this may be the solution:
Check the values of TAPEDEV and LTAPEDEV. If they are set to some
physical device - for example /dev/rmt0 - and the device is off-line or
there is no backup tape in the device, IDS will wait in Fast Recovery
until either a valid backup tape is supplied to the device or TAPEDEV
and/or LTAPEDEV is set to /dev/null. This is what I did to make the
change:
bring down the engine;
change TAPEDEV and LTAPEDEV in the onconfig to /dev/null;
restart the engine.
Let us know if this fixes the problem.
