It's hard to say exactly what limits you are hitting, but I'd guess you may be getting into trouble with the llh_b_field() and llh_a_field() functions, which include a big case statement for each screen field. Many (most?) customizations go here, as a before_field, after_field, or after_change_in trigger. You could try a do_not_generate trigger as a workaround: do_not_generate lld_b_field lld_a_field; Then pull these functions into a supplemental source file, and maintain them by hand. If all else fails, you can set non_source_form in your header form, and edit the code manually, rather than using triggers. This is undesirable because it defeats regenerability. Feel free to e-mail me if I can be of more assistance. : One more question. I have a problem with customizing I4GL Forms to Russian. : I've found nothing about this in "Informix-4GL Forms Code Generator Reference Manual November 1991" : There are some hints in library functions and Forms system table definitions. : I'll be thankfull for any guidelines or references to manuals. There are several tables which have language text: stxmssgr, stxhelpd, stxerord, and others I'm sure I haven't thought of. The messages are keyed by a "language" column, set to ENG for English. It is straightforward to insert rows for a new language--you could use "RUS" for Russian. The language code is chosen at run time. You can use the "-l" argument on any compiled program to set the language. The default is ENG. Alternatively, you could change the default. Look in $fg/lib/scr.4gs/init.4gl to see where this is done. -Jeff
