csdk 3.70 xF6 not available
Posted in 2012
CSDK 3.70 xC6 was not available on IBM's official download page; only xC5 was listed. A workaround was provided: download the Innovator-C 11.70.xC6 release and modify the installer to install only ESQL/C. However, the expectation was that CSDK should have its own separate download, not requiring users to download the larger Innovator-C package. The thread also highlighted confusing IBM website navigation for locating CSDK downloads.

Just a note to IBM , The CSDK , JDBC 3.70 xC6 still not available to download into the "open" download session. The last version available is 3.70 xC5 ..... http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/informix/downloads.html
FYI, you can just download the 11.70.xC6 release of Innovator-C edition and when you run the installer, modify the installation list so that it ONLY installs the ESQL/C. Art Art S. Hi Art, Thanks for this information. Just to make clear... to download the CSDK , starting now, will be always only with innovator-c ? in further versions? This was explained in some place? some link? some news ? technotes? blog? twiter? footnote? IBM site????? The new page of Informix into IBM site is very nice... but for download , still confuse for any Informix user . I say that because at the company I work, the Java developer insist in use the JDBC xC5 because they don't found any official download for xC6, so , at they point of view this (xF5) is the last stable version. Just to illuminate the flow of user looking for CSDK into the **official** Informix page : open : ibm.com/informix you will redirected to http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/informix/ (1) Looking for download... nothing clear on sight...neither if you search for "download" keyword. How I already have some experience with IBM pages I see the small link : "Visit the Informix Library" Click there... Redirect you to : http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/informix/library.html (2) Other place without any clue how download the client... again.. just because my +10 years of experience with IBMess pages .... I already know... click in "Trials and demos" (CSDK as trial and demos? it's free... this is very confuse for any user) Redirect you to : http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/informix/downloads.html (3) Finally you see the link : "Informix Client Software Development Kit (CSDK) Click there... no xC6 ... (4) The user need to navigate thru 4 pages , where none is clear, objective and simple.... to download... If you lost your patience , put into google/duckduckgo : "informix client download" ... for me the first link already is the page (4) in my flow above... nice shortcut... still without FC6 . No. There SHOULD be a separate download for the CSDK. But this is a good workaround. It's available in PA and FixCentral. Both official places for existing IBM customers. The reason why FC6 is not available on the "public" site is beyond me...
