Re: Informix-SE Front end tool poll

Barry Probably not something you are looking for (since you are looking for a "dedicated" Windows client), but how about a web browser with server side programs. It will run on any OS where there is a web browser, so in the future if you want to replace your Windows 95/98/NT clients with Linux/Sun workstations, you could do so without changing your system or you or someone else could access the system from home from whatever system you are running. Also IMHO, programming and design is much simpler, since you dont have to learn and work around limitations of fancy new GUI tools and extinct languages like Visual Basic souped up with objects to look like a crippled version of a more modern language like Java with C++. Currently we are using Uniface, since it supported both chui and gui. Now we want to look for a new programming tool that is dedicated to programming for a windows client. Please reply with the name of the product you are using and how satisfied you are with the tool. Thanks.
