IDS 7.30/ACCESS/aggregate functions....

Sorry....I overlooked stating subject on original post. Question is: We have the following environment: sun ultra enterprise 3000 and 4000 utilizing solaris 2.6 and IDS 7.30.UC5 and ms access '97. We cannot get aggregate functions in Access to work with Informix. Is the only solution to use pass-through queries? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
