Sergio Peres (Informix 12.10.FC10, CentOS 7) had rootdbs 96% full, caused by a large sysadmin database. Erik Stahlhut advised moving sysadmin to a separate dbspace. Doug Lawry pointed to a sysadmin alert cleanup bug fix and execute function task('table repack shrink', 'ph_run') in sysadmin. Mark Scranton agreed on shrinking the tables.

Hi,
I have rootdbs full with sysmaster, only 4% free.
There is anything I can clean? Or I have to increase rootdbs size?
Informix version 12.10.FC10, OS CentOS 7
Thanks for any help,
SP

It is sysadmin that is big, sorry for the mistake, but the question is how can
I clean it?
Thanks,

Hi Sergio,
I would recommend to move sysadmin to a separate DBSpace.
Cheers
Erik
I agree with Mr. Lawry ... use shrink on the dbspace or better yet, since it's
the rootdbs, shrink the tables in sysmaster.
Thanks -
