How this can be with the current prices of disks I can't understand though. 4 Gb of disk equal something like the cost of 10 consulting hours in our situation. Your mileage may wary but still should be possible if your databases aren't very large. As to CPU power this solution would probably need less than doing the same reporting accross three machines. The "replication agent" you might be able to write yourself depending on the users requirements. A nightly run will suffice in most cases, but may be not in yours. If it is may be you can transfer data based on some date/datetime field giving insert/last modified time?
