Re: Owner changes

Scott One way to do this is to have either informix or a "application-super" user own all your tables and to GRANT various permissions to other users or roles as appropriate. We recently lost one of our lead developers, and the remaining developers are getting the various products/projects divided among themselves. So we have a "few" tables here and there on our IDS7.x servers that I am going to have to redistribute back out. Unfortunately, it isn't so easy as doing an update on the systabnames table of sysmaster. I have seen one place where they said that you can't use this SQL statement to change ownership, but in that location in the documentation, it doesn't give me a hint of how to make the appropriate alteration. What way do you all suggest in modifying all these tables past doing a bunch of dbexports/dbimports with modifications made to the sql there? --dsf
