I have tuned the kernel parameters according to the release notes but keep getting the following error msg when i do oninit -i 15:27:34 shmat: [EMFILE][24]: out of shared memory segments, check system SHMSEG 15:27:34 mt_shm_init: can't create virtual segment I have been told to look for a similar parameter to NOFILES but I cant see anything appropriate on UW 7.1. Some kernel params are: SHMMAX 12000000000 SHMSEG 2048 NPROC 3000 Any ideas ? we have 64 Mb RAM

I have also made it close to the onconfig.std file as I can. I have actualy got an instance up and running. I am not sure how though. I played around with different kernel params and also changed the SHMBASE on the config file a few times. I got it running after I put it back to its original setting but cannot understand why it did nt work with the setting before.
