dbdiff 1.3 vs archives
Posted in 1994
Folks, Martin Andrews points out that I messed up and put the wrong version dbdiff2 out on the archives. Checking my 'dist' directory I see that the version of dbdiff2 that I sent out most recently was indeed 1.1. How can you tell? As of 1.2 there is a $Log statement at the bottom of dbdiff2.4gl, this should reflect the current release level. What diff does it make? {/* $Log: dbdiff2.4gl,v $ Revision 1.3 94/09/01 13:39:25 13:39:25 jparker (Jack Parker) Corrected DATETIME/INTERVAL to print proper end points Corrected DATETIME/INTERVAL to not include parens Now handles DECIMAL(n) and DECIMAL(n,0) Now handles DESCending indices. Corrected syntax for BEFORE in the ALTER TABLE clause Revision 1.2 94/05/30 16:05:31 16:05:31 jparker (Jack Parker) now supports systabauth (-a) and sysusers (-u) now supports individual or groups of tables (-t table_spec) now supports on the fly changing of server names Parens added to ALTER statement to support other versions of ISQL Added status to db_check routine */} Given the level of interest in dbdiff2 over the past few days, I promise to work on it this weekend and add constraints. I know that I stopped working in the middle of syscolauth trying to clear my fogged brain - and of course got yanked off onto real work. I was/am unhappy with the way I was handling syscolauth (suggestions?) so may not provide support for it in the near future - despite indications to the contrary. cheers j. _____________________________________________________________________________ Jack Parker | Hewlett Packard, BSMC Boise, Idaho, USA| Every DOS PC should run Windows, jparker@hpbs3645.boi.hp.com | It gives them something to do. _____________________________________________________________________________ Any opinions expressed herein are my own and not those of my employers. _____________________________________________________________________________
