Need info about Online/Optical

Hi folks, sorry to re-post, but there was a problem with my news system last week, so my initial post got in with a bad address. I need info about Online/Optical. I'm most interested in answers to the following questions: 1) What types of drives are supported? Just WORM, or also CD-ROM? 2) How can I import data into Online/Optical? I'm asking because of the following scenario: We need to import large amounts of data from a legacy mainframe system into Online. We don't have harddisk space for these data, so we thought of optical media. Data access will be read-only. We don't have a WORM device, but we do have access to a CD-ROM recorder on another system. Is there a method how we could somehow write the exported data onto a CD-ROM so it could be read with Online/Optical, or is our only chance buying a WORM device and then import the data via Online/Optical, writing to the WORM? Harddisk space on our Online server is the problem. I'd appreciate any info about this subject. Alternative solutions wel- come.
