RE: ODBC Driver support for BLOB data

Lian, Would you please post what is your OS, Client product, and how did you configure your blob space if any? , What is your Informix Server version? If have tried Informix ODS 7.22 for NT, and have Informix NewEra and Visual Basic working with the connectivity product INFORMIX-CLI without any problems with BLOBS. The SQLBindParameter, and SQLExecDirect calls succeed, but the data does not get inserted. When I looked this up in Deja News, I notice some postings about the ODBC driver support for binary data being poor. This is definately not true in general -- our product requires this feature, and works without any difficulty with Oracle, Microsoft SQL server, Sybase SQL server, and Microsoft Access. If it is the case that the Informix ODBC driver is buggy, then hopefully Informix can supply a patch soon, as this is a serious deficiency.
