No. >If not what exactly is the difference ? Several things. First, version. I-Net applies to 5.0x and earlier versions of the software; I-Connect applies to 7.1x and later versions of the software. Second, purpose. I-Net allows distributed access to databases, so that a program can access an SE or OnLine database on a different machine. I-Star is similar but allows OnLine systems to work together, including distributed SELECT statements and the like. There is no corresponding product to I-Net and I-Star in the 6.00 and later versions; the network connectivity stuff is built into the ESQL/C product. I-Connect allows programs to run on a machine where there is no development licence -- it corresponds to ESQL/C RunTime in the 5.0x and earlier versions.
