Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Hi All,
We are running IDS version 9.21 FC3x1 running on HP-UX 11.0 (64-bit).
The following errors have started appearing in our message log today:
07:39:28 listener-thread: err = -25573: oserr = 233: errstr = : Network
driver cannot accept a connection on the port. System error = 233.
......
......
12:44:13 listener-thread: err = -25580: oserr = 232: errstr = : System
error occurred in network function. System error = 232.
I have attempted to use 'netstat -a -n" and "onstat -g ntt" to try and
pinpoint any network issues with the engine, but cannot find any.
Has anyone else experienced these errors ?
Does anyone have any idea about what system call the messages are referring
to (perhaps gethostbyname ??).
If so can anyone provide information about what to look for to resolve ?
Thanks !

Damion,
This is likely an indcication that SEMUME, SEMMNU or MAXUSERS kernal params
are tuned too low. Check these params with $INFORMIXDIR/release/en_us/0333
release
notes. Increase as needed.
