Do it when there is no, if possible, additions to the tables being copied. 2. Start from the bottom up, load a the tables with not referentail integrity first, then the ones dependant on them and so on. 3. Very important, load to a temporary set of tables names, and when done, drop the orignal tables and rename the tables to the correct name. I know the first to steps are obvious, but the third step allows us to load will people are using the developement system and it I screw up, nothing is damaged.
