hi all, Presently we are using IDS 7.30.UC7A on HP UNIX 10.2. we are planning to migrate to 9.2 IDS HC1 and HP-UNIX 11. . any help regarding instatllion procedure and key fractors to be considered will be very helpfull. I would like to thank all in advance for providing help. with regards Nagarjuna.K (nagarjuna.kurra@gujaratgas.com)
If you don't have any other dependent constraints, IDS9.3 is better than IDS9.2. We recently tested IDS9.2 and IDS9.3 on HPUX11.0 with our applications and Performance is better on IDS9.3 than IDS9.2, but both are less performance than IDS7.3x. So we upgraded HP Hardware K Series to L Series (New Box) with HPUX11.0/IDS9.3 to improve performance and now 4 times faster than HPUX10.2/IDS7.3x. thanks Ravi Yarlagadda -----Original Message----- From: Nagarjuna K.... Hi,
Is this going to be on the same machine? If not, I'd go for both at once and
a dbexport/dbimport. Otherwise, the Migration Guide is quite good on this
sort of requirement.

I would suggest that you miss the 9.21 release completely. It goes to category 3 support in June 2003(or it was the last time I checked so you are better advised going to 9.30 now. regards Malcolm
