>My Company has been servicing a client for the past several months >that is on Informix version 3.3 running on SCO Xenix. We have run >up against a problem in trying to compile a form (using formbuild) >that has joins (eg.f1 = wo_number = wp_number). Anytime there is a >join in the form it will not compile. The message "Form [X] will >now be compiled...." is displayed however the next thing you get is >a command prompt. The form does not compile and the error log file >contians an incomplete copy of the form script but no errors are >shown. If the join statement is removed the form compiles properly. We still have some small v 3.3 db's running under Xenix although I haven't modified them recently. v3.3 has limits on how complex and thus how big a form can be, your joins may be just pushing you over the limit. Try keeping the joins and cutting the size of the form to see if this is the reason. Although it had some undocumented quirks I quite liked v3.3. Good Luck Robert Royall
