What we do here (and we do a LOT of form letters) is to have the report produce a TeX file. We've written a shell script that mimics lpr (or lp on SYSV), that runs TeX on what it's given before issueing the lpr command. By writing the shell script the way we did, we can use 4GLs ``report to pipe'' command to print the letters. We have used this approch successfully on everything from SPARCs to AT&T 3B2s. jeffl ---- Jeffrey F.
