1. Can anyone tell me if Informix 11.7 and DB2 will co-exist on the same server (AIX server)? We are planning to install ILMT (IBM Licence Management Tool) which runs on DB2. 2. Will it be possible to do HDR between Informix 11.7 database on an HP server and an Informix 11.7 database on an AIX server ?
1. Yes; there's no obvious irresolvable conflict in resource requirements (beyond they both like all the available memory). 2. No; HDR requires the same binaries running on both machines. You can use ER, though. On Thu, Jun 12, 2014 at 11:20 PM, FLIP VAN WYNGAARDT <flipv@raf.co.za> wrote: > 1. Hi, 1/. Yes you can . A lot of customers install ILMT 2/ NO. You need to have the IDS version and the same OS version . Even if you have 2 different AIX versions it is not supported . Yes, Informix and AIX can coexist. No, you cannot use HDR between servers on different OS or hardware. You can replicate between HP and AIX using ER though. Art Art S.
